Memory: "Well there was this one problematic incident at Westmont involving a man, a plan, and a banana stand, that Keith and Stephanie helped me get out of…But in all honesty one of my favorite memories of Keith and Stephanie lies in our first double date together at the Long Beach Aquarium. When Christina and I arrived to meet them they had these sinister grins on their faces, and, before we knew it, they had thrown beads around our necks and started cheering. They did
this again at our
engagement party almost a year later, and neither Christina nor myself
can look at beads the same way ever again…"

Steph & I lived next door to each other our sophomore year and when we found out we were going to be RAs our junior year, we knew it was going to be a fun ride! The next year, we lived together to finish senior year in an apartment off campus.
One of my favorite memories of Steph is one night we were supposed to watch a movie in my section, but for some reason we ended up on the floor in a pile of pillows laughing uncontrollably. The more I laughed, the more Steph laughed. People stared and gave us weird looks, but we just kept on laughing. It was so healing.
Our senior year, the day of the President's Ball at Westmont, Steph and Keith had decided that they didn't want to go to the dance after all. We went over to a friend's apartment, and as the other girls were getting ready, Steph found the perfect dress in Hayley's closet. As she fell in love with the dress, she decided that she wanted to go. We ran back to our apartment to get ready! As I was doing her hair in our tiny upstairs bathroom, she sighed a familiar sigh and looked at me in the mirror with a smile and said, "I just decided that you're going to be my maid of honor. If anyone can keep me calm, it's you." That was only about a month after Keith and Steph started dating. Here we are over a year and a half later!

Memory of Bride: It was Halloween and we both were super excited to finally participate in some Trick or Treating. Well, when that time finally came we decided to stay in and give out candy instead. I know Stephanie through Keith, and I've known Keith since junior year of high school.
One good memory I have of Keith is going over to his house for the first time and seeing his vast collection of Star Wars and Indiana Jones action figures and memorabilia, including a 1:1 scale model of Yoda, a cardboard outline of Boba Fett, etc. At first, I thought he was a huge nerd, but after knowing him for at least 6 years, it all just seems to fit.

Hobby: Reading, writing, traveling, hiking, going on adventures
I've known Keith since September 30, 1988 (that would be his birthday). I was only two, but somehow I remember going to the hospital with my dad to meet my new brother. We brought my mom Burger King (I remember being especially excited for my brother to try onion rings).
It's hard to choose just one memory of Keith. Since it was just the two of us, we had lots of adventures in our make-believe world. One of my favorites involved my toy horses, the Millenium Falcon, and Keith's Jurassic Park velociraptors. The Millenium Falcon crash-landed in the desert near my horse ranch, so my horses agreed to help Han and Luke fix it as long as they got rid of the velociraptors that were menacing the horses. Or something like that.
Being so close in age, I loved sharing so many experiences with my brother. I especially loved having Westmont in common when we were older; Keith was like my link between home and college; he just understood it all! I'm so thrilled for Keith and Stephanie and honored to be part of their big day.

Building lasting relationships with in laws is one of, if not the, most important building blocks to a long lasting and healthy marriage. If there were a trophy awarded to the most original social ice breaker, my mother would hands down have taken the first place prize. One sticky summer afternoon I couldn't help but overhear the topic of discussion between Keith and my mother. Shame is not a characteristic held by my mother. She was watching her usual afternoon program and decided to engage Keith in a conversation about the uncomfortable subject of transgender individuals, And sex changes. My mother seems to always assume that since Keith is in progress of finishing up the credentials needed to enter the medical field, he'd have all the answers in the world with regards to anything dealing with medicine. From bumps to bruises my mom would not hesitate to ask Keith, "what's this?"or refer one of her children to "Dr Keith" to "check it out." but without much dispute, the most interesting subject my mom asked the aspiring dr was in the field of sex changes and transgender individuals. Only my mom would have the courage to ask the person about to marry her only daughter about how these procedures get done. Way to break the ice mom, and make Keith the most uncomfortable man in the room(:

A memory of bride and/or groom:
I came over to Stephanie's house for Thanksgiving dinner where Keith also happened to be (surprise, surprise). I think Stephanie was mentioning to me how she had just finished making cheesecake, but was a bit upset because her mom didn't get the cheesecake out of the oven in time and it was slightly burnt. As Stephanie proceeded to show me the slightly burnt cheesecake, it must have started to fall apart because it fell out of her two hands and onto the kitchen floor. Boy was she even MORE disappointed! Well as they scooped the cake up off the floor, one of her family members grabbed a chunk and smashed it into Stephanie's face! And I'm not sure how it happened but then Stephanie took a piece and smashed it into Keith's face! Pictures were taken, cake was all over the floor, and everyone was having a jolly time. Can't wait till next Thanksgiving for even more excitement with the Cochrans!

Memory of either bride or Groom: I have a ton of hilarious memories with Steph and fun memories with Keith. I think a great memory of them together is one time when a friend of mine needed help in Santa Barbara while I was in San Jose. I gave Keith a call to see if he could help my friend out (a truck was necessary) and it turned out him and Stephanie were in the middle of flying kites! Stephanie kept on singing "Let's go fly a kite" to me...I could tell they were having fun. Yet, they agreed to take time out of their date to help my friend - whom they had never met before. I love this because it shows two sides of Keith and Stephanie: their carefree, playful spirits, and their kind, giving hearts. I am blessed to call both of them friends
