9 Months and Counting

It is crazy to think that next week we will be celebrating 9 months of being married. The past few months have been stressful in different ways. However we have been very blessed nonetheless. We really enjoyed our time in California during Christmas.

It was great being able to spend time with family and friends!
We were really excited to witness Phil and Becky's engagement. We are even more excited to be a part of the wedding in June! Heather also sang in a beautiful Christmas concert, and it was fun to be able to sit in the audience and enjoy the concert. We were also able to celebrate the holidays with my parents in Anaheim. We had a small get together with all the cousins. We were able to spend New Years Eve in Santa Barbara and New Years day with Katie and Alyse in LA. We were busy busy.

When we got back to Cleveland we were in for a rude awakening. The first week we were back there was a polar vortex. The weather was below 0 with wind chills down to -35 degrees. Everything was shut down. School was cancelled. Unfortunately, Keith was in the middle of his Psychiatric rotation and was still required to go into the hospital.

I have really been enjoying my classes this semester. I miss my classmates from last semester. We all got really close. However, it's been fun to get together randomly! I accepted a position on the Board for the Student Run Free Clinic. I'll be the Clinical Coordinator. I will also be in charge of recruitment and training. It's a big job, but I'm really excited to take on the challenge.

Since it's been cold Keith and I haven't really been on any crazy adventures (except for maybe the hike from our apartment to our car during cold and snowy conditions). We've mainly gone on several dinner dates. Tree Country is definitely our favorite place to eat. We've also been going to the movies a lot.

Currently, Keith has moved on to his next rotation. He is in his Neurology rotation. It's supposed to snow about a foot tonight! We're hoping to go sledding soon! As always keep us in prayer! Our lives are always transitioning and changing, but we are thankful that God's Grace is steady.

5 Months Update!

Hi Everyone,
Sorry it's been a while since we posted anything on our blog, but as you can imagine we've both been very busy.

Keith has been working hard on his Ob-gyn rotation. He's had to work a few long shifts, but the next few weeks look like they won't be as bad. Keith has had fun delivering babies but he's definitely looking forward to moving on to Pediatrics in November.

As for me, I've been enjoying my internship. I've been working with the East End Neighborhood House. I've been mainly working with mothers who are currently working on getting back custody of their children. Our agency provides them resources to help them with this process. My classes are interesting and fun. We have 6 weeks left in the semester! It has been stressful but it has helped to have such great classmates.

Although, it has been very busy Keith and I have had our adventures. Early last month we randomly decided to go to Niagara Falls! We had a lot of fun exploring the American side and Canadian side. The falls are beautiful.

We've also been enjoying the weather. Fall is among us! All the trees have started to change color. It is also getting a little cooler.

Last week we were able to go to Mapleside Farms. We bought a few pumpkins and walked around the corn mazes. Our pumpkins are currently decorating our apartment. We haven't had time but hopefully we'll be able to paint them soon.

We have a lot of other exciting things coming up! Will and Christina will be visiting from Chicago in a few weeks! Shortly after Gail and Granny will also be visiting! Then after my finals in December we will be going to Playhouse Square to watch Wicked! Although we're both having a lot of fun out in Cleveland, we're both really excited to be visiting California for Christmas!

As always please continue to have us in your prayers as we continue to adjust to our new life together in Cleveland!

Thankful Thursday

Today is definitely a Thankful Thursday. We both have so much to be thankful for! This weekend will mark four weeks since our wedding, and three weeks since we've been in Cleveland. We are so thankful for God's provision. Our apartment is still a work in progress, but we've had fun exploring Cleveland the past couple of weeks! We went to a rib cook off during memorial day weekend! We have also discovered that we are in walking distance to Larchemere, which has fun antique stores and restuarants! We also found out that we are ALSO in walking distance to Shaker Square. We were very excited when we realized that there was a grocery store and a movie theater in Shaker Square. We were even MORE excited when we saw that the movie theater had 6 dollar Mondays! (It's the small stuff that makes us happy).

I am finally getting into the swing of things at work and Keith is working hard on his research project. We are both very thankful for the time of rest we've been able to have these past few weeks (Especially after the madness of planning a wedding and studying for board exams!). We know that things will get busier as the fall approaches. Our prayer request at the moment is that, we continue to grow with one another, that God continue to provide us with the happiness and joy that we have experienced this past month. We pray that we find a church soon, with a strong young married couples group.

With all that said, we are happy to share MORE pictures from our wedding! Just click  the link below (you're probably thinking sheesh how many pictures do these people have?)

Before you click on the link, we would like to take a moment and just say thank you to David and Tania Do, who have worked so hard to edit these pictures. David has mentored my mom in photography for almost 2 years now! When we got engaged he was the only one my mom trusted to photograph our wedding. He has a strong passion for photography, and we were so honored to have had him photograph our wedding. David took our engagement pictures as well and we couldn't have been happier with them! Photoshoots with both Tania and David are always a blast. If anyone is need of a family portrait, senior pictures, weddings, baby pictures I would highly recommend David and Tania Photography. When we met David he said that he remains friends with almost of his clients and I can see why! They really are like friends to us :) It is always fun to hear Davids stories and his Christ centered marriage advice! Thank you!

Hello Everyone!
It's hard to believe that our wedding was three weeks ago! Thanks to everyone who was able to make it and be a part of our special special day! Looking back we couldn't have asked for a better wedding day, or a more fun group of people to celebrate this special occasion. We would like to take the time and share a few pictures that were taken with a camera that our bridal party shared. We would also like to share our top 10 wedding memories! Although our wedding has passed, as many of you know we have relocated to Cleveland Ohio. Meaning, our adventures will only continue. With that said, we will continue to use our blog as a way of updating our friends and family on our newlywed adventures! Hopefully we will have pictures from our wedding photographer soon! As soon as we get those pictures we will also be posting them here!

Thanks,

Keith and Stephanie!!!
